Hello, I started on this server a few days ago. Here is my opinion so far.
Some players prefer to progress slowly and enjoy the game in a more vanilla way. I am one of them. For me, the journey from level 1 to 60 is the best part, and once you reach max level with a finished build and achievements, many players tend to get bored and leave. That is why I am not in a rush to reach late-game content, while others only want to get there as fast as possible.
To satisfy both playstyles, there are several options. A customizable EXP rate like in Dragonica Raid, the option to choose from x1 to x20, would be a good solution. Another option would be letting players start directly at level 60 if they prefer. You could also keep EXP at a regular rate and make EXP potions available for cheap. Right now, leveling feels too fast. I level up faster than I can gear my character and even faster than I can complete quests, which takes away from the progression. Forcing everyone to level quickly will likely make players leave sooner, since there is not much left to do after finishing the game.
Regarding medals, I noticed one is missing, the one for reaching the first class change without dying, and several others have different bonuses. I understand buffing some medals, but changing their attributes or heavily nerfing them makes the experience less vanilla. Many of us are playing for nostalgia, so it is disappointing to obtain a medal we remember only to find it much weaker. For example, Legend of Combo used to give +20% attack speed and movement speed, and now it gives +9%. I saw the patch note saying this was to make other medals more viable, but it is normal for some medals to be stronger than others, and their usefulness already depends on class and build. For my Gladiator, attack speed does not matter, I mainly look for critical chance.
Right now, some medals were nerfed so much that they feel useless, while others were buffed to the point where they become mandatory regardless of class. That goes against the intention of making more medals viable. Not recognizing the medal bonuses is also a bit of a game-breaker for me.
I was also looking for the Hookah Hat and wanted to get it the regular way by killing Hookah in the secret map, but he never spawned. I know I can buy it, but is it still possible to drop it? Finishing first place in the mission only gave me blue or yellow powder, and I farmed the secret zone for over three hours without seeing him.
I loved the punching bags, I actually had the same idea, but I do not like the trade-off if it comes at the cost of nerfed medals. I would rather not have punching bags and keep the original medals. The best solution would be to have both punching bags and vanilla medals of course.
That said, I really appreciate the work being put into the server. It is clear you care about the game and put a lot of effort into it. I just hope things stay closer to vanilla. The server was described as vanilla with quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Changing items and medal bonuses does not feel vanilla and is not really a quality-of-life change. Teleporting to group members without a card would be a quality-of-life improvement, or having pets that do not require food lol.
I also love the fact that you can exchange cash items for Gada coins. However, I have a question: where is the yellow protection parchment for +15 to +20? I cannot find it, even in the cash shop. Was it simply removed and replaced with the regular parchment ?
Also, no more CP points, I get it. But where are the Glorious sets? How are they obtained on this server?
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for your work Spidpex.
